      Mrs Walkinshaw presents her Complements to Miʃs Hamilton and
is much obliged to her for takeing the trouble about the tickets,
she has been so lucky as to get what she wanted, but is
equally obliged to her, she wishes her much joy of this day
and sorry she has it not in her power to show her respect and
duty, and is affraid she will not have it in her power to wait
of her befor she sets out for east Bourn, she goes herself
in about ten days to Brighthelmeston[1] and if she should happen
to come then will be happy to see her --

Summary: Note from Catherine Walkinshaw to Mary Hamilton. She thanks Hamilton for help with some tickets. She is not able to wait upon her before Hamilton leaves for Eastbourne and is to travel herself to 'Brighthelmaston' [Brighton] in ten days' time. If Hamilton happens to visit there she would be happy to see her.
