A letter arriv'd for you yesterday, I postpon'd sending it
till to day waiting for a frank. On Thursday we go
for the summer to Sunning Hill. By way of news
I inform Mrs: D. that Mrs.. F.. & the P.. of W..
were hiʃs'd of the Epsom Course the other day, the
people disap not approving his supposed marriage. I was at
the Abbey last tuesday & was highly entertain'd:
My love to Mrs. D: tell her I am rejoic'd she likes
Sally -- The coach is at the door therefore in haste
I conclude myself yr much obliged

Notes
1. The address is in the hand of the provider of the frank, William Devaynes, MP for Barnstaple 1784-1796.
2. FREE frank, in red ink.
3. This seems to be 'W free devaynes' written all as one word. William Devaynes was the MP for Barnstaple from 1784-1796. This would be the 'frank' Mary Glover mentions waiting for in her letter.
4. This appears to the left of 'Northamptonshire'.

I inform Mrs: Dickenson that Mrs.. Fitzherbert & the Prince of Wales
were hissed of the Epsom Course the other day, the
people not approving his supposed marriage. I was at
the Abbey last tuesday & was highly entertained:

Letter Description
Summary: Mary Glover sends a quick note to John Dickenson, before she leaves town, to inform Dickenson of a letter that came for him and which she is forwarding on. She also sends his wife, Hamilton, news of Mrs Fitzwilliam and the Prince of Wales and their 'supposed marriage'. Glover notes that she was at the Abbey last Tuesday and was highly entertained.
She also writes that she is happy that Dickenson is pleased with Sally [a servant Glover recommended].
